Our Dynamic Curriculum – Fostering Deep Understanding at Glenfield Primary

At Glenfield Primary School, we’ve thoughtfully crafted a curriculum that is not only integrative and challenging but also deeply relevant to the unique developmental stage of primary-aged children.  We are committed to nurturing well-rounded learners by ensuring our approach is responsive to, and effectively meets, the diverse needs of every student.

Our curriculum is designed around learning experiences that help students develop and deepen their understanding of important ideas, and to transfer their learning in a meaningful way. 

Our curriculum design is inspired by contemporary educational thinking, focusing on how children truly learn and make sense of the world.  It’s built around big ideas and essential questions that encourage deep understanding rather than surface-level memorization.  This intentional approach means we:
