Sport
Glenfield Primary is traditionally very strong in sport and we place a big emphasis on encouraging our students to be active and to “have a go”. I have taken over as Sport coordinator this year and it is my aim to get as many students as we can participating in a school sports team, either in school time or after school.
The following sports will be on offer this year.
AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS…
Miniball (Primary School Basketball) (Year 3 and above)

Year 5 students play on Mondays after school. Year 6 play on Wednesdays after school . North Harbour Netball Centre, Takapuna.

Swimming Rippa rugby
Flippaball (Primary School water polo) Soccer

Cross country running Cricket
We are always looking for coaches and managers of our after school sports teams. If you would like to give it a go or know of anyone who might be able to help us please let me know; sheridenb@glenfield.school.nz. The number of teams we can enter is reliant on the numbers of coaches we have. No experience is necessary to coach, you will be given full support from the school and you will love working with the awesome GPS children!
Further details about each individual sport your child is interested in will follow.
Yours sincerely
Sheriden Blundell
