Established in 1959, Glenfield Primary School is a medium primary school, catering for Years 0-6. Glenfield is located 15minutes north of Auckland City. Glenfield Primary School has 15 classrooms, organised in to three teams. The dedicated teachers are well supported by a skilled support staff team.

All staff members of the school strive to provide a quality education for every student. Additions to daily curriculum programmes include Gifted and Talented Education in Arts, Language, and Mathematics, English as a Second Language Programmes and opportunities for children to excel academically in leadership roles, music and sports.

Glenfield Primary School opened their new sandpit late 2009 to the enjoyment to all students and also has a junior and senior playground and large grass playing fields. Junior classrooms have been recently refurbished. All classrooms have computers to support daily programmes. Teaching resources are constantly being updated. As Physical Education and Sport is of high priority, there is a well equipped sport shed.

A very supportive Board Of Trustees and Parent Teacher Committee continue to ensure Glenfield Primary School is known to be a family orientated school with an “open door policy” where parents are encouraged to be involved in class learning activities.
